On Saturday, August 23, 2014 a Confederate Memorial Service was hosted by the Stonewall Jackson Camp # 901 and the Lee-Bourland Camp # 1848 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Jacksboro Texas for Private Thomas Jefferson L. Jones. In attendence were descendants of Private Jones.
The service was proceded over by Jason Waggoner, Cmdr. Stonewall Jackson Camp # 901 and Charlie Waters, Cmdr. Lee-Bourland Camp # 1848. The opening and closing prayers were given by Richard Lee Montgomery, Chaplin Stonewall Jackson Camp # 901.

Stonewall Jackson Camp received Camp Growth Award for the 3rd fastest growing camp in the State of Texas. Thanks to every one in the camp.
Cadet Master Sergeant Morgan Thompson, Guyer HS Air Force JROTC, received the H. L. Hunley Award for personal commitment to her unit during the school year. Presenting the award were Jason Waggoner and Michael Upchurch of the Stonewall Jackson Camp.
The Stonewall Jackson Camp was very proud to be a part of the Denton County Heritage Festival. The event was a great success and a fun time was had by all. The Stonewall Jackson Camp is ready and able to assist all community organizations that wish to remember our Confederate heroes with education and re-enactments.
Guest Speaker Rockey Sprott spoke to the Camp about the Confederate Grave Survey and the SCV Guardian Program.
The 118th National SCV Reunion was held in Vicksburg, Mississippi on July 18 - 20, 2013. There were several historical presentations given about Vicksburg. "Civilians and Soldiers inside the Siege Lines" at Vicksburg, and "The Art of Commemoration" being used on the monuments at Vicksburg National Military Park are just to name a few.. There are guided bus tours explaining the course of events within the battlefield at Vicksburg National Park which many enjoyed during the reunion. Many events were held during the week of which came to an end on Saturday evening with the Commander's Reception, Grand Banquet, and Debutante Presentation. Several members of the Stonewall Jackson Camp attended the 118th National SCV Reunion and a good time was had by all.
Many members are already looking forward to the 119th National SCV Reunion to be held during July 2014 in Charleston, South Carolina. Long live the South! Stonewall Jackson Camp #901 proudly participated in the dedication of a new Monument to the Confederate States of America in Palestine, Texas.
The occasion began with a parade down the streets of Palestine ending in front of the new Confederate park. Many stimulating speakers spoke and an old time band playing Dixie helped provide the atmosphere. The Stonewall Jackson Camp #901 has remembered its fallen comrades by placing the battle flag at the graves of all Confederate soldiers at the I.O.O.F Cemetery.
Gentlemen you are gone but not forgotten. For your dedication and sacrifice for the cause we salute you! The Gainesville Camp is participating in the Medal of Honor Parade this April 14th.
